Alessandro, a member of Monini’s export team, is an expert in how extra virgin olive oil is perceived worldwide. He believes nothing can be taken for granted either in Italy or abroad in a field as important as food.
Anyone whose job is to export fine, but everyday products, like extra virgin olive oil works between two worlds. On the one hand an awareness of the product’s recognised excellence within national borders and on the other, the need to generate demand for something ‘new’ in completely different contexts.
It requires determining which countries consume the most extra virgin olive oil and then working on retail partnerships within these markets.
