COVID-19 MONINI KEEPS GOING, WITH PRODUCTION AT FULL CAPACITY AND DONATIONS TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL.

02 April 2020

Almost 75% of Monini employees are working from their houses. Despite an increase in demand the company is still able to provide for the needs of consumers. Health machineries and devices were donated to the local hospital.*

COVID-19 does not stop Monini. The company from Spoleto, Umbria from the very beginning followed the Italian Ministry of Health strict directions and is now operating at full speed with most of its employees working from home.

We are doing our best trying to performe our duties, so that consumers can count at least on one of  the primary needs, which is food” explained the company’s CEO Zefferino Monini.

Monini has activated an Emergency team, which is committed to define work actions among its employees to prevent possible future spread of the virus. So far the company has recorded zero cases of infection from Covid-19, not even quarantined employees.

Major difficulties come from transportation, which has seen a significant increase in costs. In the last few days the cost for shipments to Northern Europe has doubled. This speculation is inexplicable, especially in these hard times, however this trend has been registered nationally.

We are aware of all the difficulties that consumers, producers, distributors, and suppliers are facing”, states Mr. Monini, “but we want to assure you that at Monini everyone is doing his best to keep the level of the company’s services high”.

The strong bond that Monini has with the territory and the city of Spoleto, were the company was founded a hundred years ago in 1920 by Zefferino Monini Sr., was reaffirmed by the company’s donation of video laryngoscopes, an ultrasound machine, masks and googles to doctors and nurses of the local Spoleto General Hospital, were heroes are fighting a war. COVID-19  hasn’t had a huge impact in the region of Umbria so far and hopefully it won’t. Also with the help of Monini.
